Kim’s passion for working with animals began at the age of 7. She spent the majority of her younger years rescuing injured or homeless animals and working in a veterinary clinic before deciding to attend Northern College in Haileybury, ON and becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician.  After almost 10 years working as a tech and 2 children later, Kim decided to branch off and focus her animal care skills into a dog walking and cat sitting company. The objective of this company would be to meet the very specific and individual needs of each animal in her care.

While working one on one with so many different dogs, Kim’s interest in canine behaviour  was ignited and the adoption of her Thai streetdog , Mila, solidified her desire to further understand the ethological and biological make up of our dogs in order to help them thrive. Kim learned so much through Mila’s training and saw first hand the positive effect it made on her life that she decided she wanted to be able to offer these services to other owners and their misunderstood dogs.  After studying and working closely with a mentor, Kim took her exam in March 2020 and became a certifed trainer with the Council of Certifed Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT). In Oct 2022, Kim became a certified behaviour consultant with the CCPDT.
